On the way to Nazca, we will make a stop to see the formation of the “profile of the Inca” and then stop at the MIRADOR DE PALPA where you can see a group of figures such as “the Royal Paracas family”, the beheader, the occulted being among others.
Then we will continue to the house museum of Maria Reiche, where we will find different items used by this mathematician during her research to the lines, you can also see ceramics and a mummy in excellent condition.
At the height of the 423 kms of the Panamericana, we will find the second viewpoint from where we can see geoglyphs: The Hands, The Tree, The Lizard, which was cut by the road and a trapezio.
In the city we will visit a pottery workshop where we will learn about how the men of this culture made their beautiful and colorful pottery two thousand years ago. To finish our tour, we will visit the gold workshop, a place where miners usually work in very extreme conditions to extract this mineral from the rocks.
The technique they use dates back to colonial times, and involves the use of large mortars, lots of water and mercury. Here there will be a miner/exhibitor who will kindly explain the whole process involved.
